Three Red Deer Riverdawgs Help Team Alberta Capture Bronze at Field Lacrosse Nationals

Three Red Deer Riverdawgs field lacrosse players helped Team Alberta capture a bronze medal at the 2026 U17 Men’s Field Lacrosse National Championship, held September 3-6 in Langley, British Columbia.

Hadin Nelson, Mason Williams and Bronson Scott, all members of the Red Deer Riverdawgs field lacrosse program, represented Alberta at the Alumni and First Nations Cup, competing against the top U17 field lacrosse players from across the country.

Team Alberta secured the bronze medal with a hard-fought 9-7 victory over Team Saskatchewan in a competitive battle that came down to the final whistle.

For the three Riverdawgs, earning a place on Team Alberta and competing on the national stage is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of their dedication to the sport.

The success also highlights the opportunities available to athletes through the Red Deer Riverdawgs field lacrosse program. Through training, competition and a strong development environment, Riverdawgs athletes continue to pursue opportunities at the regional, provincial and national levels.

The Red Deer Lacrosse Association congratulates Hadin Nelson, Mason Williams and Bronson Scott on their Team Alberta selection and national bronze-medal performance.
