RDLA U17A Repeat as WRLL League Champions

The Red Deer Lacrosse Association is proud to celebrate the U17A team on capturing their second consecutive WRLL league championship, earning their place at the 2026 Minor Box Lacrosse Provincials.

In a thrilling championship final against the Sherwood Park Titans, RDLA battled through a hard-fought, back-and-forth game that showcased the determination, composure and resilience of this group. With both teams pushing until the final whistle, the game remained close throughout, requiring overtime to decide the league champion.

When the opportunity came, RDLA rose to the moment, securing the overtime victory and claiming the WRLL championship title once again.

This championship is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the U17A players, who have continued to push themselves and each other throughout the season. Their ability to stay focused under pressure, trust their teammates and compete together has been a defining part of their success.

With the league championship secured, the U17A team now turns its attention to the 2026 Minor Box Lacrosse Provincials, where they will look to defend the provincial title they captured last season.
