Field Lacrosse Season Now Open for Registration - Join Us for an Exciting 2025 Season!

Apr. 01, 2025

Are you ready to experience the thrill of lacrosse? Whether you're an experienced player or a newcomer eager to try something new, our 2025 field lacrosse season is now open for registration - and we welcome players of all skill levels! From U7 to U19, we have teams for everyone, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Lacrosse is one of the oldest and fastest-growing team sports. It’s an exciting, fast-paced game that not only builds physical strength, endurance and hand-eye coordination but also sharpens mental focus and strategic thinking. As players work together to achieve common goals, they also learn valuable teamwork, collaboration and leadership skills while developing a strong sense of community.

What’s New This Season?

Our summer lacrosse program is designed to introduce children to the game and help advanced players refine their skills. We emphasize a positive, energetic and fun environment where everyone can grow. This program provides the flexibility of attending games that fit your summer schedule, running from July through early September.

Players will practice once a week, with additional pick-up practices scheduled by coaches. The season includes three exciting field day weekends full of sun, fun and top-tier entertainment for both players and spectators. The season will culminate in an invitational All-Star weekend in Lacombe - a fitting end to an action-packed summer!

For Everyone: Co-ed & Women’s Lacrosse

At RDLA, we’re proud to offer both co-ed field lacrosse and women’s field lacrosse. In co-ed lacrosse, the game is a high-energy, full-contact sport featuring ten players: a goalie, three defensemen, three midfielders and three attackmen. Women’s lacrosse, on the other hand, is a non-contact sport that’s fast, athletic and focused on speed and technical skill.

Introducing the U19 Sixes Program!

This year, we’re excited to introduce a U19 sixes lacrosse program. Sixes lacrosse is a thrilling new format of the sport, set to debut in the 2028 LA Olympics. Played with six players per team (five field players and one goalie), it combines the best elements of both field and box lacrosse. With a 30-second shot clock and 8-minute running quarters, each game is fast-paced, action-packed and full of excitement!
