RDLA Invests in Goaltender Development with Exclusive Camps

Goaltenders play a crucial role in lacrosse, acting as the last line of defense to protect the net and shape the outcome of a game. Recognizing their importance to team success, the Red Deer Lacrosse Association (RDLA) is partnering with King Krosse to offer specialized box goaltending camps for U9 to U17 goalies in the Central Alberta Lacrosse League (CALL). These camps aim to build confidence, refine essential skills, and help players reach their full potential.

King Krosse: A Leader in Goaltending Education

King Krosse, founded by former NLL Champion Aaron Bold, is a professional coaching and mentorship program designed to elevate young lacrosse goalies. Bold’s vision for the program stems from his own experiences, where he saw a lack of mentorship opportunities during his career. He founded King Krosse to fill this gap and provide aspiring goalies with the tools to succeed both on and off the field. His goal is to help players not only develop their technical skills but also gain the confidence and mindset needed to excel in high-pressure situations.

Two Camps for All Skill Levels

RDLA will offer two distinct camps—one for beginner goalies and one for more advanced players. These camps are designed to provide a dynamic, supportive learning environment with personalized coaching from Bold himself. Participants will receive constructive feedback that will enhance their technical abilities and equip them with the mental toughness required to perform under pressure.

Coach Bold’s mission is to mentor young goaltenders, helping them navigate adversity and develop into well-rounded athletes. His coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of education, personal growth, and skill development to produce future leaders in lacrosse.
