Are you an experienced lacrosse player or interested in trying the sport for the first time? We welcome players of all skill levels! We have teams from U7 to U17, ensuring there’s a place for everyone.
Lacrosse, one of the oldest and fastest-growing team sports, offers more than just physical benefits. It’s a fast-paced game that improves strength, endurance, hand-eye coordination, and dynamic defensive tactics. Beyond physical fitness, lacrosse fosters mental and social growth—players work together to achieve common goals, building teamwork, collaboration, focus, and strategic thinking, all while developing a sense of community.
We aim to provide a fun and rewarding experience for all players. To ensure balanced teams, player placement will be based on years of experience and skill level, as indicated during the registration process. Teams will be carefully organized to achieve parity, with team assignments beginning in early March for older divisions, followed by the younger divisions. Final team rosters will be confirmed once balance is reached.
Players can expect at least one practice each week at various facilities around Red Deer. League play will begin in mid-April and run through mid-June, with playoffs to follow. Games will typically be scheduled on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with U7 and U9 games primarily taking place on weekends.
