Registration open in December with evaluations running in late February early March and the regular season from April to June.  "A" Team tryouts will be held in January due to the 2019 Canada Winter Games.  For more information on click to the "A" Team registration tab.  Registration fees includes all regular season games, entry fee to Tradition Lives Tournament (if applicable) and 1 practice per week. Your team may choose to add more practices to this schedule.

Red Deer Lacrosse Association Box lacrosse teams participate in the Tradition Lives Tournament held May long weekend each year.  Tradition Lives is the longest running lacrosse tournament in the Alberta Lacrosse Association's history. This tournament is a RDLA fundraiser. Each team must provide volunteers to the organizing committee and all RDLA team Tyke - Midget must participate. The RDLA has chosen to include the tournament entry fee in our registration fees this season.  Families will be required to volunteer over the course of the weekend, each team will be required to contribute donations for the raffle tables. Other tournaments and extra practices are decided by each individual team and the expenses related to these events are the responsibility of the team.

Our RAMP Registration System has flexible payment options.  You can choose to pay fees all at one time or select a monthly payment option with the final payment coming out of your account on March 1, 2018.  RDLA is also offering apparel options to be added to your shopping cart! This will allow us to pre-order our shorts, hoodies and t-shirts before the start of the season.  It also allows you to utilize flexible payment options for your apparel as well.

Field Lacrosse

Our summer lacrosse program is offered to boys and girls of all ages and is designed to introduce children to the game of lacrosse regardless of experience, as well as assist those more advanced players in refining their skills in a positive, energetic and fun environment.  In order to have a great field experience this season we hope to have 20 kids per team register.  If our registration numbers are lower we will look at combining teams for the field season.

Registration opens in early May with a season that runs in July and August.  Registration fees includes all regular season games and 1 practice per week.  Your regular season games are played at 5 competitive events consisting of 3-4 Field Days and a Provincial event, which are all optional.  Summer event locations include Lacombe & Red Deer, Edmonton and Leduc with teams competing from all over Alberta and surrounding area.

Field lacrosse for boys requires full equipment the same as box lacrosse, with the exception of cleats instead of running shoes.

Field lacrosse for girls is Non-Contact throughout all divisions and requires only eye goggles as recommended, cleats instead of running shoes, and a ladies field lacrosse stick, which does differ substantially from box lacrosse sticks.
