Registering for Lacrosse

Box Lacrosse

All Players whether new to lacrosse or returning for another year of fun are welcome to register for the Red Deer Lacrosse Association Lacrosse programs. Our lacrosse program is designed to allow new players the opportunity to start out in a fundamentally based program, while also allowing returning players the ability to improve their skills.  Box lacrosse requires full equipment.

This season teams will be created based on the information given during our registration process.  Players will be assigned with the intention of creating teams evenly as possible, this processes will start in early March with the older divisions continuing to our younger divisions.  Teams will not be finalized until parity has been achieved. Our season continues to mid to late June depending on the playoff schedule.  All teams will be allocated a minimum of 1 practice a week at various facilities through out the City.  Please be prepared to practice Monday-Thursday, we will do our best to ensure scheduling is a consistent day and time, but appreciate your understanding.

RDLA teams participate in the Central Alberta Lacrosse League. League play will commence Mid-April and continue until Mid-June with games being played on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. U7 and U9 groups typically play on weekends.  RDLA hosts the Tradition Lives Lacrosse Tournament on the May long weekend, this is one of the longest running tournaments in Canadian Lacrosse history.  All attending teams U9-U17 will be expected to fill volunteer roles that weekend, up to 4 hours per player.

"A" Teams - This season RDLA will be having tryouts for U17, U15 and U13 divisions, tryout fee $50.  All players from Central Alberta Lacrosse are welcome. "A" team tryouts will start beginning of February. Please visit "A" Team page for more information.
